As an athlete, finding the balance between eating enough of the right foods to fuel me and not eating too much is a challenge.  Being lean is very important to me personally and Bernadette understood all this!  She was able to tailor her program to match my needs week to week based on what sort of workout or racing goals I had.  I wasn't hungry, I was recovering from hard workouts and races quickly, and... my best "skinny girl" jeans fit again!!!!  I feel better, I look better, I'm performing better... thanks to Bernadette!

When I heard Bernadette telling someone that she had lost close to 90 pounds, I just had to find out how she did it. I knew that she had been through what I'd been struggling with. I've been battling weight all my life. Up 40 pounds, down 40 pounds. When I met Bernadette, I was just 20 pounds from my all-time high. For the past several years, I just wasn't interested in "dieting," so I just ate what I wanted and didn't really think about it. But there was always something in the back of my mind nagging me. I was never completely comfortable in my clothes, and I was always self-conscious. I just didn't know how to change the way I was eating...When I sat down with Bernadette and she laid out her plan, it made so much sense to me.  And she made it so easy to follow. After the first or second week, I was noticing that I didn't get headaches anymore and that I was feeling less "bogged down" and lethargic. It's easy to stay on this eating plan even when out of town. So I'm well on my way to my personal goal weight and I see a bright future in both how my clothes fit and, most of all, in my attitude and happiness. ..Thanks Bernadette.

No more blah!  I want to have that kick back in my step!  Such was my mind-set when Bernie told me of her plan.  Excitedly, I signed up.  Vigorously, I began.  Then came the coaching - thankfully.  My previous experience with health regimens was unlike the common proverb: "The hardest part of any journey is taking that first  step."  The first step was always easy, it was the hundredth, and thousandth steps that were the trouble.  Bernie's coaching helped me keep focus, and more importantly, interest, as the doldrums of learning a new way of life set in.  Now, four months into my new approach to life, I am a changed man - soundly changed.  On a recent vacation with loose schedules, fast food and nice dining, I came back only one pound gained.  How?  I realize that I just look at food differently - as fuel, not a party - and eat healthier and tastier foods, hence the choices I make are simply better.  I eat less, disregard snack temptations, keep exercising and am a much happier man.  My favorite part of the program, that which really taught me the most, was the food journal - what an eye opener!
